I just got displaced too. It's honestly a blessing if they're going to give you severance. I feel like I can actually go find something that I enjoy doing, and they'll pay me to be able to focus my full attention on that search.

Not a PB1, but I went from being considered absolute trash at WF to a division head at a large regional institution within 45 days of looking. Kind of feel like I should send my ex Wells boss a “Thank You” for the push.
take advantage of the downtime. focus on your self worth, appreciate yourself, think of all the awesome skills you have and what you can offer to your future employer. think of what kind of role you'd like next, what type business aligns with you. Write it down on a piece of paper. Focus on what would bring you joy. Put your resume out there and just redirect your thoughts into joyful ones. The perfect job for you will find you before you know it. Your phone will call, an agent will reach out and ask for your application. Whenever I had gone about it this way, the job would find me fast and in a perfect alignment assuring a continued income. Circumstances of other people don't have an affect on what's going on in your life. The power of positivity and mindfulness is real. Be the light you want to shine. See yourself doing what you want, know it is on your way to you. Ask your kids to remind you how to believe in magic.
You will find something better soon. When it's your time, nothing will stand in your way.
