WFHM - someone in our dept had a stroke the other day due to stress (likely work-related).
Saying morale is in the sh!tter would be an understatement.
If you were an employee, you would know.

Completely agree, I really don't understand why folks would wait to look. Worst case scenario, you don't get an offer that makes you want to jump ship so you can stay put and take your chances with layoffs.
Also, by the time there's a vaccine available to all, Wells severance may have taken another haircut. Not really worth waiting around for a "generous" package.
If you are change-averse, don't let that stop you because by the end of next year WF will likely have changed a lot.

I got a new job too, 40% increase in pay; great culture and winning best workplace awards too.
Also current technology! You are right always be looking as companies today do not keep people enitre careers. Plus you will lose your skills this way fast, especially here where everything is old. Even exec's change roles every so many years.
Why would you wait to look? Are you are stalling or afraid of change or something? If you really feel this way.. you should have had your resume updated already. I found a better job! In the midst of everything, for a better company with a better culture with just about a 30% raise. Never, ever wait to look
If you really want to k–l morale, have layoffs every two months for the next two years. I look around and 99% are Indians, i can't understand what anyone is saying any longer. After the vaccine is released and stuff goes back to normal I'm looking.
