So,
Got a little sick. Then filled out the rto after telling my boss the day before. So they sent me home and told me that the covid team was out till Monday and that I would be counted absent till then. So we count it against you that we will not let you come to work ?

From my experience that is NOT the policy. I was "quarantined" by the covid team pending test results. I was not allowed to work until the results of my covid test came back. It came back negative and I returned to work. I was paid for my hours when not there because I went through the proper process. I was showing some symptoms of covid. I was just...regular sick. I was also not held accountable for missed time.
I would 100% reach out to your HR person and let them sort that out.
Happened to me too. This is the actual policy. If you're test comes back negative, you're not covered by the COVID policy even if the RTO tool says you can't be there. Comes out of regular sick, so if you don't have any you get progressed and dont get paid for the missed days. If your test is positive they recode your missed days though.

Covid is real. Stay safe.
You can’t get written up for being sent home from rto. It’s not uia so your fine. Don’t let them tell you otherwise.
