I just got a job at FMT. Did they have any layoffs recently? How is overall career growth for mechanical engineers there? I read many were demoted but don’t know if it’s true

FM&T has enjoyed a billion dollar boom that started with Obama’s secret military buildup. I doubt this will change under Biden. If you must work for Honeywell as a b4 or below this is as good as it gets for job security.
Job advancement is up to you. You will not get raises or promotions for doing the same job you did yesterday. Apply and move up or leave. Most Honeywell employees haven’t figured that out yet.
No layoffs, lots of growth for now.
