I not sure what or whom and how the new “job mapping” was done, but I can assure you of this, many people who were dedicated, loyal and cared greatly about the overall good have been destroyed mentally in a short time period. These people have been the backbone of these companies, no longer, they give as many damns now as they’ve been given. Ridiculous!
If they actually fund the AIP at target I will be happy but with everything else going on with this merger that seems like a big if. At heritage BB&T I think the lowest AIP I got in a really bad year was funded at 80% of target.
I feel like we could see much lower payouts going forward in the name of “expense control”.
Hope I’m wrong.
The new salary grade structure is bad. In the heritage company world, you may have been two or three grades higher than another employee doing a easier job with less responsibility. Within the new salary grade structure, that same employee with an easier job can be in the same salary grade as you, even though you have much more responsibility. Where's the incentive to work hard? Why not apply for a MUCH easier job within your new salary grade and transition to it? You'll get to keep your salary because it's still within the range of the salary grade.
Bingo! The pay differences between the organizations are HUGE with BB&T folks getting much lower pay.
Personally I feel a lot of BB&T teammates are getting screwed so that SunTrust can keep their higher salaries. Same work for unequal pay.
Salary and incentive. Big hits on incentive side even though they want to focus on the range of bonus opportunity, it’s unrealistic. They are not funding and budgeting at the ranges of opportunities only the targets. Pay close attention to your target at a Truist compared to your old one. Big differences even though job is the same.
Unethical treatment doesn’t begin to describe things here.
Are you concerned with salary? They say 80% of staff will see no impact to their salary.
