Thread regarding Truist Bank layoffs

If you think the “good old boy network” ever stopped you are deluding yourself.

You are correct, if you look at SVP positions that were held by women in SunTrust, you will notice that many are no longer with the bank. They made announcements that they retired but were actually RIFd. Atlanta lost a lot of SunTrust Senior management that were female. The "Good Ole Boy Network" lives on.

Atlanta Georgia is a right to work state where you can get fired for any reason, same as in Florida. They RIFd more people from those states than anywhere else to prevent lawsuits. You have to sign off on your legal rights if you want the severance package, otherwise you get nothing for your years of service.

You want to talk about class action lawsuits, the women in and formerly in this organization should consider one.

100% this. I finally got fed up and left BB&T because I watched younger, less experienced men get promoted over me. The running joke in our department was how uncomfortable "pretty girls" made our male manager. He got a HUGE promotion with the merger. Long live s-xism and stupid decision making!
