Thread regarding Truist Bank layoffs

Customers show concern

I am on the BB&T side. We have many small business customers who come to give in their deposits. Over the years, we’ve built up relationships with them and most often we just have small chats while conducting transactions. A few of them have noticed the somber atmosphere and lack of joviality and have commented on it. I really didn't know what to say. Not to mention, it surprised me to realize the morale drom has gotten so noticeable that even our customers are commenting.

Quite frankly, customers should show concern - and we should not lie about what is happening at the bank. The general public should be made aware of how poorly this bank treats its employees - it borders on intentional cruelty. What has angered me most through this process is Truist has beaten us down to the point we are fearful of simply telling the truth over how we are being treated. I am solidly against telling any lies, but we owe it to ourselves, our fellow teammates, and to our communities at large to educate everyone on the morals of this new bank. Only then will we get change!
