Pembina is the only company I have worked for where a young woman was openly shamed by her team and HR rep for having the audacity to start a family and not put company first. Their behavior was celebrated. Pembina is also the only company I have worked for that had a long winded internal debate between HR and field personnel about hiring a black man to lead a team... Only just two years ago. Great organization, eh? I'm sure there are other stories.

I remember when a fellow employee needed to take a disability leave to deal with health issues, and was then villified by their HR business partner, and made to feel guilty for thinking about taking time off. The person was also ostracized by many on the team. What a garbage company.
I remember when a full time male employee requested to take paternity leave in 2018. His manager, indirect manager, and HR all tried to convince him out of it. The indirect manager told his direct reports that any male who takes a paternity leave under his watch would be passed over for future promotions. The entire team then mocked the paternity guy. In my opinion, there has to be several labour and humon rights violations at Pembina. After all, it is a big family, though, right? Cheers!
There are elites at Pembina. People who do whatever they want and not performing well at work but with the right connections in the company. Management is still full of old people leading the company in the wrong path. Pembina really needs a change in upper management instead of discriminating and laying off their average employees
It is the only company where I have seen my co worker being discriminated against due to his race and the manager and HR saying " too bad, deal with it" . If this exists at the top level and HR not caring, what can you expect
