They expect every retail store to run on 5 reps.... Looks like we won't be hiring for awhile

The hourly is nice but there is no future in corporate retail. There are jobs out there that will consider you coming from vzw.
Or... keep waiting for the hammer to drop. Because at some point you’re either going part-time or let go against your will.
Stores will continue to get closed.
@1fbd+18a0UsBW 100% true. The OG’s are kind of stuck between a rock and a hard place. We may be miserable or dislike our jobs more but the above average hourly and benefits prevent us from quitting or even looking for a new job in these dire times. Verizon will rely on attrition combined with VSP’s to slowly weed out the tenured folk. It’s the obvious long term game plan. I wish they would do some type of employee survey to see how many would actually take a VSP.
It's hard to come to terms for the OG's but our hourly is so high we just have to milk the clock and pretend to care about anything. I find it really hard to believe they are going to continue to pay FT 40 hour reps that have tenure their extreme wage for being Experience Specialists.
Ha ! I love doing phone book transfers and set ups now ! Gone are the days of blowing through as many customers I could take knowing a 3-4K check was in the making. I am my happiest if I’m with the same customer for over an hour just relaxing while waiting for software updates and iCloud transfers.
eh just take your time. if the customers dont like to wait, they will leave. dont stress and rush to that next phonebook transfer waiting in line.
They don’t care.
Yeah you will basically be unable to take time off.
They are hiring all part time going forward and have already started. Look on the website and all the part time job listings. Until they chase out and replace all the old timers the headcount will be down in the stores. They run the stores on fumes now not even taking into consideration PTO, vacations and sick time. Oh and don’t forget parents who are out because of remote learning and finally all those who have abused covid guidelines taking weeks off because of “ possibly “ being around someone who is positive. All the while they c-ap on the reps who have worked through all this. The managers want to have a conversation about numbers and how come our pull through and ARD is down ? Go F yourself. I’m working with a severely reduced staff in a Covid atmosphere. GTFO.
