Thread regarding Truist Bank layoffs

How worse will it get when Bill takes over?

Among all the regular daily chaos with this merger I sometimes forget that Kelly will be stepping down this year. For all his faults he at least fought to keep the old BB&T pension.

From everything I’ve heard about Bill it seems like a bad situation is about to get worse. What do you all think?

At this point people, don’t you get it?? The plan is set in stone. Kelly’s oversized ego and modest intellect led to a merger that was doomed from the beginning.
Kelly will soon shuffle away to plant seeds of hope (and spend his mega-millions), and Bill and Co. will continue rapid layoffs to appease the investing community. Please understand the goal by Bill and team is NOT TO MAKE TRUIST SUCCESSFUL; they see Truist as 100% Kelly’s baby. They are going to s— their salaries out by expense savings until the investing community catches on, at which point they sell it off to another bank for another big payday. Get out as soon as you can!

In reply to @1hxw+18Vj3QJT, I am hBBT and I’d say I’ve had mixed dealings with hSTI management. Some I really can’t stand and others have actually been fairly decent to work with.

There’s also been some new management that has come in from IBM and I’d say they are the worst of everyone from what I’ve seen.

I work for SunTrust under Bill Rogers and quit six months later, they said if you quit, you'll never work for SunTrust again. I said yep, that's the plan. Horrible under Rogers.

Forget Rogers Kelly and that gang. The leaders at each business unit are where the True Tone deaf reside. Is it my imagination or true that if that group of senior leaders are all STI for example and you’re HBBT you have not been treated fairly and it is easy to recognize. I’ve heard from HSTI that the opposite is also true. Any folks experiencing this care to comment? I’ve lived it by having my officer ranking change and compensation cut with no valid explanation why? As a matter of fact no explanation was given period, just the old that’s the way it is why you upset?
