Thread regarding Truist Bank layoffs

In what ways could a smooth transition be ensured during a merger?

Good people are leaving and either aren’t being backfilled or in the case of management, being replaced with people who don’t even have the decency to talk to their new team and ensure a smooth transition.

That’s it. It obviously didn’t matter to them, because if it did, this transition could have been so much smoother. Do you agree?

My friends that still work there hate it, everything about it, the culture or lack I should say. Relentless
WEB EXS that go nowhere. There is no upgrading of systems, they're using the same c-ap different day from both antiquated banks. Both banks were and still are so behind technology and will never get up to spend...Never, never....never!

This much has become crystal clear to me. The only person that cares at all about Truist now is Kelly King, and that is because it is an outward manifestation of his huge ego. Tacky purple, tacky lights, tacky logo - tacky man. Sadly, no teammates have any motivation to make this work; it has become so political that if you do try to make a difference, you become a target for “the other side”.

What is fascinating is it appears E14 cares about Truist even less than the employees. The executive team is now composed of: 1) people Kelly threw under the bus to get the merger done (HBBT execs just waiting to cash out), and 2) the HSTI group that considers HBBT country bumpkins, and are embarrassed to share a company name with them. What magnificent ingredients for a strong, competitive, technology bank. This is a slowly unfolding train wreck...holy cow...what keeps it from being uproariously funny is all of the wonder teammates who have been needlessly hurt.

Believe me, you better off without them, they're arrogant SOBs that have no feeling for you or your teammates. Management is me, me and more me. Yes, you're not in Kansas anymore.

Wait till the branch closures start up. That should encourage customers abs employees to get out....abs fast.
It’s fun to watch from the outside. Less clients = less people employed = less “leaders” (if you can call them that).
As Kelly’s buddies at BLM say “burn it down”

If you wonder why HST folks are so smug and arrogant and thumb their nose at any BBT folks and their ways they know Rogers is coming and it will be Suntrust again, minus the name of course. This circus is going to need a bigger tent before this year is over.

I’ve been through mergers before. They are never easy but at least the management had tried to be upfront with people and work toward a smooth combination of companies. In this case neither company wants to give up its heritage culture and way of doing things so it’s created this animosity that hasn’t gone away.

I'm done, let them fire me. I'm just going to sit back and watch this house of cards. I'm not going to let them pressure me anymore. The retail employees are going to suffer from this the most which is fine because we're use to it.
