This is the “One team” 2.0 concept. Retail and indirect DM’s will blend and Gm’s & Indirect account managers will blend as well. The question is who stays and who leaves? Retail DM’s are MIA right now from Slack while they are normally active all day taking about revenue. The West area will be the most hit hard.
They want bloat off the books by end of Q1. They need 60 days notice for some states. Just finished the most abysmal holiday season for retail ever. Axe always flies on a pay week. Doesn't take a genius to figure this one out.
Florida Director canned indirect canned.. ops are worthless, usually misfits that s— at sales but kissed a– and got some b—s— job. Hope they get laid off first.... DM’s on calls today with realignment and potential cuts being layed out... if you didn’t see this coming after retail has skull flucked the company financials for the last 12 months, you’re crazy. Indirect is carrying but adjustments to be more efficient are needed. Trust me.... to everyone saying “nothing is happening”..... there will be changes.

Just got off a call with my DM. All scheduled calls have been canceled for tomorrow, Jan 20. It looks like something is happening for sure. Just not sure what.
While this prediction should happen, it is 100% false. You will see. Nothing is happening this week with indirect. Guaranteed.

Most DM’s need to go as well, kissing a– to get ahead, the director says jump and most of you say how high!! Sad!! You don't have any thoughts of your own, just copy and paste what the person ahead of you says.

We have 5 ops for 15 stores in 5 districts. I love ops people but tell me you don't have an ops that has been in the job for years an decades making 100k a year to passively babysit 4-6 stores. All these people waiting to retire or a package. If you haven't noticed the Kool-Aid people are trying extra hard to stay useful. At this point the should get rid of DMs. You only need one DM to cover half of any state. They don't need to ever really be in store and if they do, then that can be arranged. 1-3 max DMs per state, 2-3 ops people per state. Oh man my shares in the company now actually made money. Big Read needs to lay off the Big Crack. They are losing so bad in so many ways. It getting to the point where they either decide to pull the plug or stay comatose.
Retail Ops is worthless. Indirect Ops is worthless. Combine two worthless orgs and what do you get? Instead they should get rid of the bloat.
There have been reports of direct operations assisting indirect ops as well.
Also when the talk of 1 team 1 dream came to be anyways they were mentioning how GMs would run their store and a local indirect.
Could be interesting if it comes to fruition.
