I am a part timer too, with 33 years in. Hours now are only on the weekend. Told them I don't want to work every weekend, but that is whats available for me as I work a ft job. Wish they would lay me off. Don't want to leave without a severance package. Call me selfish, but I paid my dues.

If non commissioned full timer, why not be happy to work Monday through Friday? Leave the weekend. and evening hours to part timers who have the availability. In my 30 plus years as a retailer, 10 in NYC and 3 in Boston, never thought I’d see the day malls operate like now. Hate Covid19 brought this on, but much needed. No one needs to shop malls past 8pm, and could possibly be reduced to 6pm Monday-Wednesday and 7pm or 8pm otherwise. Obviously restrictions on restaurants is hurting mall retailers as well.

Better hours, or more hours? If better, quantify.

Not really....those Part timers like me who can only work after 6pm aren't getting schedules through the week when the store closes at 8pm, so all we can work now are weekends. I hate it.
