Does the severance package / salary continuation include a non-compete?

Does the severance package include a non-compete? If so, how long is it?

Is severance still 2 weeks per year of service?

The severance is pretty awesome actually. Much better than ALL of our competitors... either you haven’t worked for our competitors or just don’t get out much?

On the non compete... totally different subject. If you have one, you certainly know it and are handsomely rewarded for following it.

The severance would need to be a Hell of a lot more substantial for a non-compete. It would be laughable with the way the current guidelines are with the notice period and two weeks for every year.

on salary continuation a default non compete would apply (based on employment contract). As long as you remain on the payroll, you are an employee.

Nope, you would have signed that at the start and not the end of your employment. If you have a no compete, it would likely be void if they displace you.

If you need to ask... no, there will be no non-compete.
