Word just came down that IT got hit hard. Almost all operations will be coming from over seas. Entire Us based teams got told they will be riffed in March.
Lots of people have been here for 10+ years. AIG does not care. They do not value talent. Its all bottom dollar as we all have come to understand.
If you are state side and working in IT...your days are numbered.
Indians will take over in all areas - offshore and onshore sooner or later, eventually AIG CEO position.
Fact is, AIG leadership isn't very smart. And their reputation in the industry isn't good, either.
Why do you think they're bringing in new leadership from non insurance companies? Because the ones who know the story of AIG wouldn't want to work there.
Even of you have to take a pay cut, get out in April. I promise you'll be glad you did.
Pretty funny how AIG says the slogans about diversity but engages firms to outsource IT that have no diversity in their workforce or leadership. Check out TCS and Cognizant leadership, or any major Indian firms. See any diversity there?

Well board of directors you would be better served by laying of your entire US IT department so you can spend twice as much as they cost on our consultants.
Everyone under Andy Gascoigne is affected. All functions will be taken over by Accenture I believe? I thought this was old news but still sux for those involved.
So they are starting with IT but all functions will be affected in 2021 not only IT this is just a starting point before earthquake in AIG landscape !!

Watch in 5 years all these giant companies trying to copy cat and do whatever big tech does will end up being more or less the same. It’s such a made up Pseudo science that may yield every little change for them.
