Thread regarding Lowe's Cos. layoffs

Blue Box cutters no where to be found

Lowe's made a big deal out of the new blue box cutter knives and yet it seems our store barely got enough for everyone to get one of these way back of the beginning of the year when they came out. We have no spares and no replacement blades. I for one have been walking around with one that has a dull blade and doesn't retract half the time. Talk about a safety hazard. If you go to management they say they are out or go steel an old one from someone else for you to use so you can get the freight done. Someone really screwed up with these, I guess we will have to start using unapproved box cutters.

Marv could not order more because it will cut into his bonus. Marv said keep working different hours and start times because it’s more productive for full time employees. Walmart has set hours McDonald’s has set hours Burgerking has set hours. Not Lowe’s full time employees Marv said let’s be different and have tired brainwashed employees walking around. Lowe’s use to be a good place to work now it’s another flyby night job with high turnover

What do you mean ‘start’ .. we’ve been using whatever we need since they came out with those ridiculous replacements. One ASM even uses a switchblade, but shhhhh don’t tell any one.

Do any of you even know why we use the blue cutters instead of another knife?

Go to the tool department. Buy a cheep folding utility knife. At least you can buy refill blades for them. If you are out of them, go to Home Depot. I am sure they have plenty in stock

Yes I guess that's what they want us to do these days. I spend must of my day putting up freight and having to use my car key to open boxes, slows me down to about 1/3 as fast if I had a real cutter.

There are far more important things to worry about. Do you have dental insurance? If so, try using your teeth to chew through the tape!!
