Since being laid off by this fine company I've come to realize it was a toxic relationship all along. I've never worked for a place before where they tell you "Just be glad you have a job"... and that's coming from the "Union". Better days are ahead, for those of us who lost their jobs yesterday and those brothers who will lose their jobs in the coming year of 2021.

This company will swallow you up and c-ap you out put 15 years in this place and get fired for being three minutes late. They play favoritism and the union is a joke.
Naaa as funny as that idea is, you should show up for one day, hang tickets on everything then 5 minutes before the end of your shift take a fall.
I won’t be one of them. If the day comes that I get that call I’m going to take the ten days or whatever the length of time allotted to give an answer. My answer will be yes, at the last minute. I will not show up on the day I’m told to report. I will call in and say ooops, I forgot I have a better job...

The sad thing is, there will be plenty of people seduced by the pay rate and retirement who wont have any idea the true cost of it will be, physically, emotionally and mentally.
Oh I agree our union leadership has sold us out for a long time now. It was interesting watching them sign up for all the OT caused by the layoffs for the holidays etc. Like buzzards dining on a fresh corpse.
Where was your concern when some of us were laid off months ago? Oh that's right, it didn't effect you so it was no big deal then.
As someone whose still working for now, I hope one day they have to recall all of you. But I hope when that day comes, you've all got a better job say no thanks
