Actually red states have been subsidizing blue states for over 50 years. Outside of the baling out New York ( twice) ams CA once, we’ve been subsidizing high tax blue states for allowing them to write off stare taxes on their Federal tax returns... a GIANT boondoggle for the entire country to subsidize the high tax crazy’s... generally in northwest.

by the way folks, the article was about So Cal because it's from the LA Times - but the phenomenon of HC workers declining vaccination is all over the country - if anyone actually reads the article instead of just posting the sensationalist snippets.
The percentage of HC workers that don't want to take vaccine is almost identical to that of the general public.
by and large, "red" states are the net beneficiary of federal tax dollars that come from - guess where - new york and california taxes paid to the federal govt.

Health care workers in other states are refusing the experimental vaccine also. Which probability means less than half than half the general population will be vaccinated. It is a fallacy that 70 - 80% will accept an experimental vaccine after all the flu vaccine has been around for years and less than half the population accept it and it is only one shot. It looks like governments answer to this will be vaccine passports which is an idea being floated around good luck with that no thanks.

Also, remember that different teams have different priorities for being brought back into the office. Some teams will be returning months after the initial teams are brought back. So the current (and rolling) earliest return date is for the first returners not everyone.

Age and comorbidities also make the flu much riskier, not just COVID. so what? that's basic epidemiology.
If you look at people who have had flu or COVID with no other risk factors... with flu there aren't complaints of lingering effects and damage (visible damage to lungs, for example) months later.

As long as the economy is in a downtrend there will probably be another type of virus down the road. This is all about the Federal Reserve and Treasury needing an excuse to keep funds injected into the economy to keep money velocity up and the debt bubble going.
The only problem with an experimental vaccine is how it reacts when the wild virus is encountered. In past experiences with other sars vaccines such as Dengue it created an inhanced immune response which made vaccinated individuals sicker than people who were not vaccinated. By the way the Dengue vaccine was released by the NIH which was headed by Dr Fauci to the Philippines and it was a failure.
The last update stated March 1, 2021, but I wouldn't put any stock in that date.
Every virus mutates. COVID is far less dangerous* than influenza, but far more contagious.
