Thread regarding Verizon Wireless layoffs

Customer complaints

So now every day I’m getting complaints that when a customer calls care they are talking with people in the Philippines. Did Verizon get rid of most of our customer care?

Verizon is using a temporary service that pays $11 an hour in the US. My relative was like no way, $11 work from home for Verizon. I give care reps another 3 years tops.

It's a combination of US based Verizon reps, third party outsourced US reps, and overseas reps. The US vendors are already poorly paid and poorly trained with hostile work environments creating a revolving door of employees who don't become tenured enough to become knowledgeable. Now add in reps where English is not their first language and quality gets even worse.

Why are you surprised we have Europeans running the company. The company is going deep in the c-apper

Yup. Did you know you can live like a king in the philippines for $800 a month? Lumpia for thought.

About 55% outsourced, nearshore, offshore, and in the US

We still have US based support but over 50% of contacts are going overseas.

Prob just outsourced vendors. I was told to stop saying all USA based support as a sales pitch end of last year.
