Thread regarding Belk layoffs

Sycamore firms up plans to purchase Ann Taylor and The Loft. Belk continues to slow pay, not pay vendors.

Two headlines and articles today from the same business publication! Amazing. The one specific to Belk restating Sycamore's penchant for juggling books and not paying as a "strategy" of their business.

Meanwhile, in a local paper , an article about Black Friday and a very nice picture inside a Belk main entrance decorated for holidays looking clean, crisp, ready for customers. Nothing like some store descriptions here?

Elsewhere, I read several solid reviews of Belk on Indeed, including store locations by name.

Hmmmm...so many contradictory images of the company?

Wanna talk the horrors of Black Friday? How about when we stayed open overnight? Yes managers were required to be there for what turned out to be near zero business and bout near k–led many of us with fatigue and stress.

Let's here some news about Friday's business! The good, the bad and the ugly.
I'll look forward to reading your comments.

Leesburg, Florida store looked so good because they just had a big corporate visit last week! Any store looks great when you have extra managers & visuals come to help for days beforehand.

Belk not paying vendors, and selling most items at 70-80% off = bankruptcy and liquidation anyone who says otherwise is a low information fool.

Bloomberg...for both...the vendor article appeared in Bloomberg Qaint...a foreign edition...the Ann T buyout in B. and most financial sites.

The store photo was from Leesburg Florida. Yeah, i was surprised at how nice it looked!

Stay safe, be well everyone...and don't forget those who could use a helping hand this Season...even your co-workers.
