There are people I know who think they're immune to layoffs just because they've been with JPM for a long time. And honestly, I feel sorry for them. All layoffs in the past five (or more) years have proven over and over again that the more years you've been here, the bigger your chance of being laid off. Why they decide to stay blind to it is beyond me. But I know that when it's their turn, they'll be caught unawares and I'm pretty sure it'll hit them much harder than people who are facing reality and preparing for all eventualities.

Yeah the managers in my department are trying to get "Mentors" to train our offshore and outsourced replacement workers and nobody is volunteering. They think we are so stupid as to not understand the new strategy eliminates us workers. That combined with the D&I agenda makes has me begging to be laid off.
the secret is to give all your work to the APAC teams, ...(And get really busy), let them report to your boss, I hope he can understand them, if not you are to leave pretttty soon..LOL
I've been with JPMC for many years. I'm begging to be laid off and get my 10 months severance. I'm doing everything possible to irritate management so when the time comes I will be at the top of the list.
I hope he takes yours as you dont deserve it. Are you a transaction processing specialist out of curiosity?
Jamie needs a new vacation home, that equates to 354 jobs..
I hope you get RIFFED too. Deuces playa.
I hope I am on the next RIF AFTER I collect my match and bonus in January. RIF AWAY! February sounds great! Will be able to jump on contract work and enhance my skillsets there - JPMC is where skills die.
That is true. When you stop contributing and pulling your weight you get axed. You sound ripe for the chopping block and so I hope you are posting out now
No one is safe. When you've outlived your usefulness to them they will can you. There's no loyalty.
