Contractors are "hard" saves that are booked immediately since they're accounted as an expense. Personnel cuts are fuzzier and take longer to recoup due to packages, etc.
They are getting rid of anyone with 10+ consecutive years working here;
It seems the 50+ year olds with 10+ years of service are the first ones out.

While no one should be immune based on tenure, would be more difficult in recruiting if they started dumping newly hired FTEs.
It’s not an across the board answer on that but our contractor spend has been called out numerous times and a lot of groups have cut there in addition to lower performing fte or roles no longer needed
We cut contractors by 30% before looking at FTE's.
It could vary. Sometimes it's mixed.
