All jobs are only in development countries. Like the smokers. Haha
They just cut 600 employees. Terrible company.
British America Tobacco (BAT) is supposedly laying off 2/3 of its workforce this week. Employees were supposed to find out Monday, August 30, 2021 if they were let go or "offered a job." BAT delayed the notifications from Monday to Tuesday, August 31, 2021 and as of now, it looks like employees will find out on Sept 1, 2021. Territory Managers have already been given their new assignments. Territory Reps are waiting to find out and they way it is being mishandled is understandably causing them anxiety.
between BAT's mostly clueless aggression in the market, the enormous numbers of fed up field employees, and now the newly-posted updates to the company severance package (effective july 1), i suspect it's not a question of if, but when for trade marketing. everyone's required daily call count just doubled for mysterious reasons - wouldn't surprise me if this was a step towards laying off 50% of the field team. just speculating though - the company is not transparent which creates mistrust and breeds rumors at all levels. just how i see it
Already started here in North Carolina. They doing away with lot of folks in R & D
Is there gonna be any lay offs in U.S. RJ Reynolds R&D (subsidiary of BAT) 2021?
Yes, all expensive locations will face mass layoffs. Consultations already started. Will be an ullu ullu company soon if the massive debt does not k–l it off.
