I want to like Saul, I really do. He seems genuine and authentic. I also appreciate the sharing of family photos, but is he out of touch by sharing photos of his vacation while his workforce is getting slashed just before the holiday season? It just seems wrong and narcissistic no matter how well intentioned.

Well at least he's confirmed that the mass layoffs will happen by the end of November...
Does he wear makeup?
No defined outcome? What does that mean concerning the question about location strategy? He is such a jerk.
Saul is a very smooth Office politician – but he's pretty tone-deaf at times – he does seem to live in the same Executive Luxury Bubble as his c-suite buddies.
OMG! He is so predictable! Quick sip of my cappuccino... He couldn't even answer the question about the SDLC policies!
So freaking useless.

"Unqualified narcissist" sums it up for me. Listened to his very first presentation, question was asked: what about IPV6. He quickly dismissed it saying I don't know what that is. Hmm.
Yea top execs of large organizations are by design out of touch but Saul puts it on full display with his fireside chats that add nothing to our needs.
"flaming narcissist"/
Yep. Spotted that during the first minute of SVB's first AMA.
He's useless, but Wells is big enough to eat the damage he's doing, so he's not going anywhere.
Agreed! Next, he will have to take a sip of his coffee.
OMG! Those glasses! So ugly!
He admits he has been outsmarted by a cricket.
They bother me sitting in front of their fancy home offices saying how necessary it is to slash jobs.
I'm new here, so I haven't seen much of him. I'm not even saying that is my perception, but I can see where some folks may feel that way.
Look as someone else said, they are just out of touch.
Just as most of us are out of touch what it's like for the tellers, janitors and other low wage earners. They probably say the same thing about us.
@OP - This is a character trait of WF executive leadership. A few years back, we went through a layoff cycle, bonuses for my group were downsized (after producing all year). Shrewsbury sent out an email talking about how he and his family were going to enjoy Christmas at their family cabin in NoCal. Completely tone deaf.
Why would anyone down vote that? What a troll.
I didn't like him from the start. I guess I saw through all of the fakeness immediately. He is a flaming narcissist. And an unqualified narcissist at that...
The view from 50,000 feet is somewhat different to the view from the coalface. Nothing new about that.
Honestly, most people at that level are out of touch with the average worker. Just like billionaires have no idea what a kitchen table issue is.
