Thread regarding BP PLC layoffs

Not as confident in BP as I once was!

My confidence in BP is not what it used to be. The share price is dire, decisions being made on new leadership are more than questionable, bonuses not to be paid. I am hearing more and more people who are waiting for tier 4+ announcements saying the same thing and wishing they had EOId.

It’s beginning to feel like those who remain will absolutely not be the lucky ones, even with the difficult job market.

The company feels like it’s being torn apart from the inside.

Its wishful thinking but I sure hope the leadership offers another round of EOI in the US in 2021. The only reason I did not elect EOI now is because I was unable to line up something before EOI deadline. Hopeful the job market improves in 2021 and EOI or not I am gone. There is no long-haul option with the company anymore.

I didn’t EOI because I want to have a little extra time to find a job somewhere else. I have no intention of staying with bp for the long-haul, but the paycheck could give me some stability until I find a new job in this horrible economy.

If you know people who regret not having EOId, then ask them to do so asap in an unofficial way - after all what would they have to lose ? and it would make their manager's job easier when wielding the axe.
