Oil levels

Are there any other locations where the supervisors are telling you to let the locomotives go if it just needs 50 gallons of oil or less ?
I don't recall learning this in McDonough Ga training center.

If it’s on the stick it goes. If it’s really that low it probably has a leak and leaks can spring up at any time. If they can’t prove it, it isn’t real.

Yes the land of make believe McDonough Ga training center.
I remember going to that 8 week training down there.
Then when you get back to your location you say to your self WTF.
Nothing is like the training center here not one dag on thing learned.
Is in use at my location.
I was a apprentice for 2 years worked under senior machinist and gangleaders.
They did not even check oil levels.
And for those Fra test every 90 days total BS.
Every time a wheel was out of spec the gang leader fudged the numbers to send it on.
And for oil samples good luck on that they have a barrel of used oil they just dip out of that much easier and less messy than getting it from a locomotive.
