When is the sausage supposed to be gone? I thought it was the first of October. I haven’t heard anything yet. Wonder if things will get better after he is gone. Thoughts?

FWIW, it's an open contract. He can be walked off property at anytime, but gets prorated bonuses, unless he does something unethical.
His first day on property was January 19th, so I would go with the aforementioned date of January 14th with confidence.
Level of efficiency improved and work loads normalized........where are you working, wonder if you’re a manger looking at ILP saying yep everything is ok here meanwhile the ships on fire and sinking and everyone else with common sense has jumped off. As far as being competitive with other industries if losing business to those other industries and competitors is considered competitive I think I’d want to pass on being competitive. The numbers aren’t right in their bull$hit matrices, you can’t physically do 12-24 hours on top of your original 8 hours anyone who says you can is extremely stUPid or high. Management is out of touch everyone knows that (maybe they do as well but they keep their blinders on) both the workers and the outside world realize that. As far as SEC filings not everyone knows how to access that information but thanks for the heads up good to know January 14th is his official date and it can’t get here soon enough.
It does not take a rocket scientist to do what Lance and Vena do. There is nothing Vena has done that was not obvious, if the only stakeholder that matters is the shareholder. UP is reacting to what was happening elsewhere, and is not leading. If Lance had not improved the level of efficiency as proven as possible by CN and CSX, someone else would have done it. The "duty cycle" of our individual employees has been increased to levels that we in other industries. Our work loads have become more normalized with other, more competitive and efficient industries, which s—s, given that most of our work is in the outdoors; which adds challenges beyond many other industries. Vena no longer matters. The only thing that will "save you" is from further cuts is excessive negative consequences. That is the real metric that matters; all else is simply wishful thinking. Hang in there.
He won’t be going anywhere. They can renew his contract, which will probably happen at the end of the year.
If you look at the 8-K SEC filing, then you'll see his contract expires January 14th. A report was issued January 7th of 2019 stating his employment would be effective January 14th. You will also see what his listed compensation is from the start date listed on the report. Its hard to post false info, when anyone in the world can look that up. That's not private information.
Contract expires December 31st it wasn’t renewed and he even requested it to be renewed. He wasn’t named Senior Vice President Monday on up online Panzer was so please stop spreading false information.
You would be better off wishing him and franny an their fams are run over at a crossing by a 14k footer that hasn’t had the brakes checked in months over him leaving.
He's not going anywhere - he was just named senior vice president according to Monday's UP Online
SMART and BLET are telling locals that his contract was renewed
If you think Vena is leaving, think again. The gravy train that Vena rides pays him 6 millon a year and he has millons in stock. Even with PSR failing, he gets his $$. Union Pacific is a cow and the executives are milking it. All the employees are is the grass that gets dumped on. I hope you all know that Lance and Vena sit in their hottubs with their whiskey and laugh at these posts.
It never gets better here. Been here for many years and it gets worse every year. Very stressful job especially in te&y. I sure wish our unions would start doing something. I know one thing this company doesn’t like any of their employees.
Not going to get better if he or Fritz leaves. The only way anything will change is if the execs and all the board of directors change and the possibility of that happening is zero.
You think things will get better after he’s gone? Haha! You must be new to UP. This is the funniest thing I’ve heard in a long time.
It’s not going to get better... harsh reality, but true
Heard it was renewed.
His contract is supposedly up January 14th.
We'd be better off if Vena stayed and LF left.
