My guess is the fact that it was called “supervising the work” means concern about value being brought. That is literally the problem that spans and layers could solve. There is so much work on creating materials in Risk and Compliance to get people “supervising the work” to be able to create their materials for those supervising those who are supervising the people who are “supervising the work” ready to get the important info to a true decision maker at some point if lucky it is only those 3 layers in this example..
I am not a people manager... and step 1 is make sure we keep leaders who care about directs, 2. know how to inspire directs, 3. know enough to help with the work 4. can “supervise the work” ... that order... never mind... scratch #4
Enough with the faux outrage already - get a life or another job. This non stop whining is unbelievable.
