Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Charlie’s quote:

"Our top priority continues to be the implementation of our risk, control, and regulatory work, but we are also taking targeted actions to improve the experience for our customers, clients, communities and EMPLOYEES," said Chief Executive Charlie Scharf.

Okay. Let’s start listing targeted actions Charlie has taken to improve employee experience. Anybody?

Key word in that quote is “targeted” - so he has enriched the spoils for certain of his now-employee cronies aka Charlie’s Angels.

Don’t hold your breath waiting for the apology, OP. I have a gut feeling the person who said you misquoted Charlie is the also same person who said today that Charlie is extremely transparent. And then I think they gave themselves two upticks. So... she must be having a bad day.

Correction:

OP here

Regarding: This quote is incorrect. It does not mention improving experience for employees. It says "We will communicate openly and honestly with impacted employees..."

The quote is copied word for word from the earnings call transcript. Go back and read it yourself, approximately 10 paragraphs in.

You are mistaken, and I eagerly await your apology.

Don’t mess with the OP 😉.

Realize it or not, he is improving the lives of employees, by laying us off and making us realize there are MUCH better places than this he77 hole to work at. Call it tough love but we'd all be much happier off ANYWHERE else!!!

Hey now - let’s not rush to judgement. We should give our CEO credit where credit is due for improving the employee experience at Wells Fargo.

He did do that one thing earlier this year in that LOB you don’t work in...???? No, never mind.

“In the fullness of time, it will be clear in hindsight.”
