If you are a SE listen up for those of you who still have a job at Cisco, Maria Martinez aka CX Queen is replacing SEs with a CSS position in CX. The pay is much lower and 0 commision. This is why we saw so many colleagues and friends hit in this layoff which Cisco has not had to report yet because people have not officially left or been let go. The one shining bright light is Maria Martinez being the over weight cow she can be assured if COVID doesn't get her diabetes and heart disease will. No amount of greed gives you good health. I now admire both diabetes and heart disease and can see the benefits of both.

More TSAs?! The Cisco TSAs I've worked with are among the dumbest "techies" I have ever had the pleasure of working with. They're mostly talking heads just like most of the SEs in Cisco.
Did you get the memo? They are tight lipped on all the restructuring plans until H2. Silence is deafening.
Fake news. TC would have mentioned it on the call today.
SE leadership is a joke. Wait there is no leadership, mostly managers.
Don’t worry. CX delivery is dumb. They want to charge for CSS, which means SE come back into fashion in 18 months after fails. The CX is like joke and the v2mamma will cash out next year.
Silly Engineers, get going.
Gerri is working on new Website so Cisco HW can be ordered online just like you order PC's
SE"s will be gone from Cisco in one year except for a few assigned to Fortune 100 customers and Federal Gov't
SE or SA or Techies - Cisco no longer need them. Cisco is thinking the large SP or Enterprises can logon, buy goods and pay them subsc charges. Just like how they consume AWS or other Cloud. Reality is quite different and when the sales drop, Cisco fires the techies.
Unfortunately, it's the same in any other company. i.e. No value for traditional sales engineers.
Wow, OP. I do think that MM is a special t–d. However, you may be over the top..
Are Commercial SEs moving to a CX Call Center model in H2FY20?
Do they realize customers hate the quality of TAC lately.
@xjc I think the id–ts here thought you were serious. You should have added /s
Who needs SEs? The products sell themselves and integrate easily into an architecture. Its all DNA, multi-cloud, hybrid-cloud, machine-learning, AI, business-outcome driven.
Makes sense. Only large accounts need SEs. But we need more TSAs.
