The overnight mst's put it back up ! The spools are at the 8ft section. Now i have to get a ladder to reach the rope to cut .

So employees wouldnt hang themselves for having to cover 4 or more departments at a time.

I've heard the "noose" rumor also but, the removal happened in my area during our height of covid cases. We had a project to elevate a few weeks ago to change the elevation so the spools are now out of reach and a sign posted to ask for assistance.

Not enough employees to cut it

More than likely it comes down to profit. The company makes more money by selling the customer a couple of feet more than they actually need in a pre measured bundle.

Rumor has that a store found a noose hanging from a spool. Knee jerk reaction was to pull all the spools down.
Funny thing is a noose is just a slip knot. I use for fishing all the time.
