DOL Targets Wells Fargo's Efforts To Hire Black Leaders
The U.S. Department of Labor's contractor watchdog opened a probe into whether Wells Fargo's plan to double its Black leadership conflicts with the bank's anti-discrimination obligations, just a month after it announced Wells Fargo would pay $7.8 million to resolve allegations of hiring bias.
This, on top of a recent internal message about "must increase representation" of Latinos, which, if giving race-based bias will also lead to more issues than Wells already has on its overloaded plate.
Where does Wells find its management? The bottom 10% of business schools' graduating class lists? These people should be the first to be laid off.
