and bp is no different. It is disheartening to see just how many people are taking the layoffs and reorg as a personal hit and the statements about bp is a sh– company because all of a sudden they are showing they don't care. Newsflash, they never cared and no company cares. I do sympathize though considering I am on the chopping block too, but instead of losing my sh– earlier in the year with the announcement, I took it as a 9 month notice that I was going to lose my job. Time to prepare and get situated with new opportunities. The sooner people open their minds to realize that not a single company you work for actually cares about you, the happier and better person you will be. Give what you get and only focus on the people you work with and not on the company as a whole. Only work extra hours for the people who work extra hours for you. Only answer the phone for the people that will answer it for you. Only work hard at perfecting your work product for the people who appreciate the perfection and appreciate the work you put in to make it that perfect. A certain person never responds to you in a timely manner, don't rush to respond to them. Someone is okay with giving you sh–ty half a– work product? Give them a half a– product saving yourself valuable time and allow you to spend with your family. Someone who disrespects you and your work? Tell them their next task will take you two weeks, when it would take you an hour. Someone who respects you and your work? Make sure you get them something they need immediately and give it priority over others. Worried about your job? Get another one while you wait. No one is going back to the office right now, you are probably 100% at home and no one will ever know if you take on another opportunity until you hear back from bp. It will always be profits over people. ALWAYS. So take advantage, quit living to work and work to live, just get your paycheck and only give loyalty to the folks willing to be loyal to you. Don't ever be loyal to the company!!!!

Remember every $ count campaign and One Team. It’s that people are out of the team counting the $s left.
The sad reality is that most of us bought into the feel-good branding that BP has sold us, so we now feel betrayed. It was always a con.
In other words, capitalism’s jobs exploit us all. Rise up, proletariatian. Socialists await your fealty.
