In a healthy free market the aim is to create more jobs so that people can take care of their families. Job creation is the main goal. Verizon started this way!

Over time people lose sight of the vision and focus shift’s away from the original purpose. The problem starts when middle management starts bloating too heavy (waste) and profit starts turning south, next shareholders start getting p-ss-d and everyone starts scrambling and so begins a companies demise.

All of those experiences were before the legacy companies merged to become Verizon. Denny Strigl comes to mind.

Businesses exist to make a Profit - Bottom LIne - From Huge Corporations to Small Businesses.

Employees are considered an expense.

That went away when 401k's came into play, now the employee's have to take of themselves
not the companies. It wasn't always that way, there are a few companies left ( 10%) that have
a pension but that is going away too. Welcome to the Real World (today's). Not good but real.

Another lost their way post...union will fix it c-ap. No it won't. Proven over and over. There is a time and place for unions, but it's not Verizon. Have shown willngive us more than they can give repeatedly. Cost money for representation that gives nothing. Stop preying on peoples' emotions during these times.
