The knowledge gap will become greater as there are fewer people with experience and more fresh hires trying to make heads or tails out of what's left of the company. We already see this happening. Very few people were around long enough to experience a new engine line start to finish. We leaned heavily on those who took the VSPs. Our technical expertise is not what it was 5 years ago and is suspect it will only get worse. The managers that replaced the subject matter experts, were promoted because they knew how the pressure those of us who do the work.
Will Pratt exist in 5 years, yes the government won't let us fail. Will it be a good place to work? Nope
