Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Microsoft to Aquire Wells Fargo.

Yep, you heard it here first. That is my honest opinion and I do not have any inside information. But it just makes sense. Charlie sits on the board of Microsoft. When Wells Fargo approached him, I believe at that point they knew that there is no way to save the company and they needed someone to break it up and then sell it. I think They found the perfect person to do it. Hopefully the shareholders get a fair price from Microsoft when the deal happens since many employees are shareholders as well.

D: @1kmj+17cpPNH0. I am not proposing anything. I am just stating my POV of what I think can happen in the future. Wells Fargo going under Microsoft Umbrella and being managed by Microsoft Execs would be a huge win for Wells Fargo shareholders and Employees IMO.

@agv, OK, so you're the OP.

How about you show your work? What news or company email or swami gave you the idea?

M$ is not buying Wells.

You heard it here, first.

: @nqp+17cpPNH0. FYI. I am not pump and dump stock. I have worked for Wells for a very long time and only have 401k WF shares as employees are not allowed to trade unless pre cleared by Wells. I am just stating my educated guess based on the data and environment we are in. If you do not agree, please do not read this post and just skip to the ones where people are whining about Staplers.

Oh sure (sarcasm)– no anti-trust concerns here. Tech company purchasing a company in more highly regulated and scrutinized industy? Dream on pal.

OP is most likely one of the regular pump and dump stock scammers we get here all the time.

Start a rumor to impact the stock price on an anonymous website is pretty standard for those guys.

I don't think this will fly with any investors because it's just too out there.

The UFO and Bigfoot guy has more cred (oh, that was me).

It's well known that Bigfoot and the UFO consortium are planning a hostile takeover of Wells.

Man, this site gets worse every day.

@a–+17cpPNH0. Just to play Devil’s Advocate, but what If Warren who you mentioned is Bill’s best friend sold out of Wells and had Charlie hired to drive down the stock price near term. Wells Fargo evaluation pre Charlie was around 300 billion. Post Carlie it went down to 100 billion. Nice work cutting the Market value by more then 60 percent for Warrens good buddy to take over.

Recycling a post from a few weeks back. Made no sense to me back then either. Anyway, while Bill Gates is hanging out with his buddy Warren he will most certainly be told to stay away from WFC

In what world do people believe the Fed would ever allow that to even happen...

A major tech giant stepping in and buying a global systemically important bank (G-SIB) like Wells. Completely ridiculous

@aah+17cpPNH0. Actually Microsoft Market Value as of today is 1.57 Trillion. Wells Fargo is around 100 Billion. So, If Microsoft bought out Wells Fargo at current market share it would only represent around 7.5 percent of Microsoft value. Even if Microsoft buys Wells at 150 Billion evaluation it would only represent 10 percent of the Microsoft. At that evaluation, I believe shareholders, employees and regulators would approve this transaction. I agree it’s a risk to buy Wells but if you look at the Revenue they were making per year prior to Covid/Charlie it was almost the same as Microsoft’s. Yes, I agree it’s a stretch for this to happen, but in my first sentence I did say that this was my opinion. There are many financial analyst who write articles online with their opinions where the stock price is heading.

Many wells employees are scared and kept in the dark right now and use this site to try and gain useful information and help reassure them or at least be informed

This type of garbage post based on your opinion is a complete waste of time and discredits the people who come here with legit news/facts that we are all here to hear from

It's apparent that the OP does not work in compliance or legal or any similar function. Banks are SO highly regulated almost to the point of profitability. The landscape is littered with hidden landmines and booby traps.
Although it makes sense on a "doesn't this make a good fit?" idea, it's just not that simple.
Plus, why would MS want to pay for a headache, nausea, heartburn, indigestion, upset stomach, and diarrhea? They wouldn't.
Nice try boomeranging your post from a few weeks ago...

Walmart is busy trying to buy TikTok. Not sure why buying Wells Fargo doesn’t make sense? If you think outside the box for a few seconds it might make perfect sense. Many Mega Tech Companies want to get into banking. With an appetite to grow, this is one of the sectors that they have their eyes on. It’s not just Microsoft that want to get into the banking World. Amazon and Facebook would be in high contention as well. The reason, why I think it will be Microsoft is because of Charlie’s connection to them. Wells BOD is most likely using him as a vessel to negotiate the sale. It makes perfect sense for Microsoft to get a head start into Financial Sector and they have a perfect opportunity to do it with Wells stock price being the lowest in the last 10 years. On the other hand, it makes sense for Wells to sell to one of the biggest And best run Tech Companies since Wells is a decade behind in Technology. Also, I don’t think BOD have much confidence left in the Fed ever lifting the Cap which will Bankrupt Wells. The negative press, and tarnish to the brand will be almost impossible to recover. So, for the shareholders and employees to get Microsoft stock and be run by Microsoft Exec might be a win win scenario. Perhaps the only way to save Wells is to sell to someone like Microsoft. Or should I say MicroGates.

Microsoft is in the business of making money so it's unlikely that such a purchase would occur.
