I know what you mean. I will feel like a loser if I don't have a Bugatti La Couture Noire. I need more than table stakes, I want to run the table.

Great news on the December delay!
For me, because I live in the Bay Area, because it is considered “table stakes” here, and because I’m trying to be prudent with my $, I’m buying a Tesla X Performance version. I really like the fact that it’s a green vehicle too- that’s icing on the cake. I feel like given all the job stress, I deserve to feel good about myself.
So go out and spend, spend, spend for Christmas! Perhaps your partner needs a new Car!
I heard that the October RIFs are postponed to December now.
