They are implementing a new "7 layer" dip management structure now. I know of three 8th layer managers being let go.

7 layers max is coming everywhere. If you have 8 or 9 layers, it may not be immediate but it will be reduced to 7 when spans and layers is fully implemented. This is well known by now and no secret.
He also has offshore reporting to him so if you are replacing a US salary for offshore salary, the headcount doesn’t change but the dollars invested do...
8th layer in how many layers? In Corporate Trust there are 9 layers from the floor to Charlie (if you include Charlie). I doubt that is the same across the organization.

I’m about to get my fourth manager in a year and a half. Tech can’t get their stuff together and you know I didn’t say stuff.
