I think what is especially hard is that employees are forbidden from talking to eachother until Dec 1. Seriously, my coworkers are the only people I will be able to relate with after I have my conversation with my boss. And I’m told I can’t talk to them ???

They dont want us to talk, so they are telling us not to, but there is no contractual obligation unless you sign something specific. And even then it would not hold up in court. So if you want to talk more than they want you not to, talk!
I will tell who I want when I want...it’s my news to share they don’t control me. We are not in prison even though it may seem that way.
I’ve already had several people tell me their new title, and even more at least tell me they are “safe”. I also know 1 person that was notified they do not have a role. I don’t think very many folks are listening to the “don’t talk”.

I don't know that they would be serious enough to enforce no chatting. I guess if it's serious enough, it would affect the severance (but can't touch the lump sum pension). I guess it's a way to make it look like they're trying to keep people from deriving who would be retained. I heard that they will release the new organization chart by December 1. They have the remainder of the month to deliver notices to people. I sure would hate to white knuckle it that for that long.
They will be disappointed on you. That would make things even I guess.
