Who else left BP for another job just to realize how much the company was underpaying them? I'm doing a very similar job to what I was doing there and I'm paid more than 16k more a year for it. And this is in the middle of a raging pandemic and a resulting lousy economy! To say I feel like a fool right now would be an understatement.

I took a pay cut after leaving BP, but am far, far happier now.
I was paid a few thousand more during my last yr at BP than my current job.
Yes, it depends on how and when you joined BP. I was underpaid when I was at BP. I did not find out how bad it was until after about 6 years. HR said there was nothing they could do about it . I left the industry last year.
I am almost certain that I am underpaid. But, the fear of the current job market coupled with reticence to change can be paralyzing.
Really anybody that’s been here for very long is probably underpaid, but it happens everywhere. Raises don’t keep up with the outside job market. Keep that in mind as a silver lining depending how things go this

I’m exact opposite. I get paid more than anyone from my graduating class almost
That has not been my experience. In my line of work bp pays better than other companies.
Crazy, right?
