What is the retail store looking like with cases surging?

The store I work at was one of the 30% left open the whole year. While my peers enjoyed spring projects and quarantine self reflection we busted a$$ and got screamed at all day everyday. It’s settled down as most are used to it. I’m wondering what happens if we shut down again as a country. I know my store as talked about walking out if the higher ups close all our peers and leave us again. It’s crazy. Cases are insane and we are busier than ever. I have a pregnant coworker who I try and help as much as possible but she pretty much gets told “at least you have a job”

We are real ppl. I get customers need us. But the ignorance of what you put the OG 30% through is awful. It’s funny to see our peers who got all spring off closing down every other week with nothing being done. Maybe we should cry Covid? No one gets in trouble and if you don’t no one cares that you stuck it out.

They should just close all the stores down forever, the way you retail people complain about everything.

3 stores in our district are currently closed due to employees either having Covid or exposed to someone who has Covid.

Stores look the same as they have looked since around 2013...obsolete slam pits for the elderly and stupid.

Ok but are employees still catching covid? I know back in June July when strores re opened fully they all had a surge of cases and there were many shutdowns but now not so much?

Stores will look the same with out any leadership they will be sitting at home watching football or doing what they normally do yell at people below them to feel good about their self and how important they aren’t. We are looking at you RD

Metrics, metrics, metrics. No concerns for safety or appreciation for reps working through a pandemic. Gotta "repay" the business.... Lol

Well it seems like every other retailer that isn't cellular changed their black Fridays yet we think it's smart when cases are rising to have skeleton crews running 8am-8pm.

The only hope is for a reduction in store hours and back to closing on Sundays. Personally i dont believe it will ever happen unless states mandate an adjustment in hours.
