Thread regarding Macy's Inc. layoffs

Comical

Comical to look at all the photos posted online which shows corporate with store “ managers” trying to look like they are ready for something big to happen this holiday season. This is just another mass brainwashing event and no one has a clear solid plan . My first sales job. Sales manager went out and got huge purchases orders and gave them to sales guys to complete. Even the store manager got government contracts etc. what I see here is a click of Seniority Just pulling on each other’s egos. No real plan. No real sales people. I could get each one them in a room and bet you they couldn’t sell their way out of a paper bag ! All dressed up to look like a bunch of sad losers. Keep drinking the k–l aid kids. ! Tik tok tik tok. Signed. Kool aid man

No. I’m a true salesman not some out of touch manager controlled by a corporate clown who doesn’t even go in the store. I’m trying to make a point. Corporate just wastes time and money and they do not sell anything nor do they try to get contracts. Same goes for. “ sales manager “ if you wanna call them that. They don’t sell anything. Yet they use terms like “ drive the biz “ and “ get my burned out exhausted team ready “ it’s all a show is my point. Not one of you could sell yourself out of a paper bag. Everyone that is a upper is too bizzy patting them selfs on the back for work they don’t do and too busy pushing unnecessary demands on store level people by moving a sign. Corporate jobs just seems like common sense. Where a associates in a store can do that.

We don't hate our jobs, just want to be given the needed time to prepare for next week so we can drive our business and take care of our customers. Instead we have regional virtual visits across our division derailing these efforts and having executives virtually visiting and complaining about a missing sign or asking teams to move displays from one side of an aisle to another is a waste of time. In many of these visits, it is the first time these so called leaders are seeing the store and they know little to nothing about the customer, traffic, or people who work in the building, yet they are giving direction from states away. Store teams are spending days preparing for visits that are demoralizing and add little to no value and we receive no feedback afterwards. Clearly senior leaders trying to position themselves as critical for upcoming cuts after Christmas.

You talk as if someone is holding a gun to your head and forcing you to stay with a job you clearly hate. Maybe you should quit your job and do everyone that you work with a huge favor
