Thread regarding Enbridge Inc. layoffs

When is next round? December 4 or Jan 20?

I fully expect another round. But when will it be and how many other rounds will there be?

Well we’re in mid January and still no layoffs. I guess that reliable source was full of it. Management says no more layoffs or buyouts on the horizon either. More fear mongering here...... again

The one poster 12 days ago here says a reliable source told them there would be another round of layoffs.
Can the poster answer this? Did the source say the layoff would take the VWO approach or a targeted layoff like they used to do?

How is Catalyst 2.0 going? Anyone been through it? Looks like the company is hiring a lot of people especially in US Gas Transmission..

Folks in their 50’s or close to retirement who were savvy enough to climb the Corp ladder are just padding their retirement.

with the current situation of Oil and gas sector and no light at the end of the tunnel, what I heard from a very reliable source is the lay off is inevitable. It is coming either before Xmas or early next year. The oil and gas is a dying industry. Get yourself out of this industry - the earlier the better. Folks who are in their late 50s or close to retirement should take the option of early package.

At the 3:12 mark of Al’s 3rd quarter release Nov 6th he said a big part of what has kept the $4.50-4.80 DCF per share in 2020 is the quick response to cut operating costs by 300 million and that they plan to cut 400 million in 3021. He never elaborated. Neither did any of the analysts question him as to specifically where the 400 million in cost cutting will come from.
Pure speculation at this point but I would suggest maybe some of it from VWO and maybe some targeted ones too. Who knows.
Did anyone else pick up on that in the 3rd quarter release?

Didn't Infrasture Planning set a World record for longest Daisy Chain. Now that would take some planning!

The only group that matters in the Calgary office, or Enbridge the entire company, is the group that brings the most value and pretty much outperforms any other collection of employees across the continent. That group is... Infrastructure Planning.

Why are you expecting another round? What is going on? I did hear there were layoffs in Supply Chain.

I’m in LP. I loved the VWO approach. I hope they do it again but make everyone eligible.
