  1. A.R.N. Act - google to see how companies beat system during layoffs

US unemployment numbers only count people “actively searching” for a job - so those collecting unemployment from state and not people who haven’t worked in years

Unemployment is tracked by the number of people who file for it...you are correct that stores openings/ closures are reported on their 8K but that is after the fact .(after stores close).you rump? I did not know BBB was hiring 10 year olds

They have to report it in their 8k form every quarter how many stores open and close. It’s a requirement for the fed government and for NJ where they are based out of. They do it because the US tracks Unemployment and various other things like real estate. So yes it’s a federal regulation.

Also, they aren’t spending retail space on what could be industrial for much cheaper. The cost of retail space can be 2-3x that of a warehouse. Let’s be really people you are getting this out of thin air up you rump.

They only need to report store closing if they are laying off a certain number of employees and the amount is different state to state.

additional stores/ not listed in the 63 store list-
Framingham Ma
Shrewsbury Ma *closing was announced before the 63
State College, PA
Flagstaff, AZ
Clay, NY (Eire Blvd)
Battle Creek, MI
Tom’s River, NJ

I would love to create a running list to see how honest the company is.

They do legally need to report store closures even f they reopen as a warehouse due to federal regulations. So please don’t get that confused

"Flagstaff AZ no warning......"
Easy way of finding out
MySource—> search—> GOOD SCOPE GRAPHIC REFRESH
Not that difficult to find out your store faith with the company. Obviously things could change landlords and rent increase plays a huge role going forward.
Stop acting shock when they announce it. It's there in portal. 🤷🏽‍♂️

They are closing a bunch of stores not listed.

The reason they are not mentioned is they are opening smaller BB&B depots- more as small warehouses for online shopping. Since they are in the same area BB&B is not considering those as store closures. Even though the warehouses will be smaller with less than half the staff needed.

Not if I close the store first.

Also...
If your store is not part of the graphic refresh and not part of the 450 stores being remodeled coming soon chances are you are closing in the next 18 months.
