Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Has anybody heard anything branch employees being let go?

I know some instore/smaller branches have already been permanently closed in my area but they keep talking about how many employees we are over at the branch and other branches being in the same boat.

I have seen the reports and they are planning on closing 800 branches permanently this year and are targeting about 5,000 jobs for layoffs from branch banking. The original date for the layoffs was November 24th, but it sounds like they might have moved it up due to leaks in the information.

I’m a regional service advisor and I’m seeing most understaffed branch offices. Im just wondering if my position will close

We don’t have that problem, our branch has 3 tellers total only 1 of them full time, and only 2 bankers. We are supposed to have 5 bankers and 6 tellers but we can’t post any positions. We’re getting worked to exhaustion everyday, and the employees would have already quit if they had another opportunity. I can’t believe there are branches out there overstaffed.
