Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

I know that this is hitting Wholesale (Business) Banking. In our area, a manager was displaced along with his group of 6 while they were working from home. I work in a branch, and our Personal banker 2’s are being trained on handling larger business customers. It made sense because we have been really strict on large dollar lending with our asset cap. In my location, I had a manager under me, but that posting was removed. Instead of having 5 direct reports, I now have all 11 bankers and tellers reporting to me. Speculation: in Branch Banking, locations closed for COVID that haven’t been reopened yet... May not reopen.
