Have you ever had to quit a job and walk away to maintain your sanity? Well I just quit Wells Fargo, because no matter how much evidence you have demonstrating manager retaliation, HR just goes through the motions of a supposed investigation, doesn’t even call the right people to investigate, and then marks the investigation closed. If you reach out to your manager’s manager or their manager, you just get a canned email that Wells Fargo takes your concerns seriously, blah blah blah. Employees have no ways to have their concerns addressed at all. It is unbelievable! Finally, today, for the sake of my mental health I resigned and have filed a formal eeoc complaint. Of course, manager denies all wrong doing and is acting all supportive on emails with a cc: to their boss. This place is so toxic and not worth waiting around for a severance package. Luckily, I am financial independent and take time off to recuperate and find something better. Has anyone else experienced the Wells Fargo HR going through the motions and nothing gets resolved? Thanks

Has anyone contacted an Atty to help with a separation package, during or after the investigation? If yes, can you please elaborate? Is it worth it? I'm another one that can be added to this list.
I could not agree more, I wants had confidence and self-esteem, now I just feel like every day is a beat down for no reason. Still no contact from HR or ER as my team no longer speaks to me. This is the most wretched toxic culture I have experienced in 40 years
OP- I put in my resignation that it was constructive discharge. HR does not give a hoot. They don’t help employees.
If ER determines your case is legitimate, won't they help you get out of the situation? Or are they or just closing the case and you are stuck there in the nightmare? Don't they offer a separation package or something? I hope those that are resigning are mentioning, in their resignation letter, that they were forced to resign, due to constructed dismissal. This is just awful.
The same thing is happening to me right now.
I have submitted tons of documentation. They are not taking me or the situation seriously. The Ethics Line is useless. I have my resume in circulation.
Prior to the pandemic, I literally had 5 job offers at the same time. Now, I have received 1 or 2 "screening" calls for every 500 applications I submit. I understand the job market is tough right now. I totally understand and respect your leaving to preserve your health.
Probably like many others, I am trying to do the best work and job I can under the circumstances until I can move to a better situation. Some people will probably post hate mail because I said this, but it is a reality.
I am glad you are financially independent. I am headed that way. Being out of debt and having some money stashed away–especially during these times and at this company–can make a world of a difference.
Hang in there to you and to others who are in similar positions but who cannot give their jobs the finger just yet. Hang in there if you can. Keep looking. Keep applying. Cut expenses. Keep saving where you can. Some good things and positive results will happen.
Posting out about diligently looking at any internal job postings, applying and hoping you get it. It’s all on your own - HR and leadership will not help you. Good luck.
yes this is why I left.. I was in a tech position and my health (mental and physical) were going way down... I ended up leaving Wells due to the various issues which I dealt with... I reported the issues to HR and an investigation occurred but as many have said nothing was done and the retaliations occurred and continued. The people who were reported are still there and in one case got a promotion. I have never ever experienced a UN-professional workplace who just did mouth service and nothing more to resolve the problem. Ethics lines called and nothing done to fix the issues.
I turned in my 2 weeks and left... was the best decision I have ever made... my health (mental and physical) has improved as I no longer have to deal with upper management doing nothing and hiding blatant regulatory and policy violations.
To the person that claims it is the people complaining you really are ignorant. I suggest you look in the mirror yourself. Ethics are not high on WF managers lists. Everyone has their own experience and it’s people like you that are part of the problem. Forced ranking and fake reviews are real right now. Bias and lack of candor are common theme. Don’t judge.

Many HR complaints in my old department. Retaliation, favoritism, hoax investigations, etc. Luckily was able to transfer groups.
I am ALSO encountering this as well and still in it. This is all very disappointing to hear. How do you go through the process of "Posting out"?
Look, it’s very likely the OP and all else complaining of something similar are the problem. HR sees it. Clearly your poor manager does too. Look in the mirror. Do your job, stop being difficult, you’re making everything stressful for your management and HR too. Stop the drama.
I worked in Supply Chain for years. Their management team is the worst. No matter how much evidence you provided with high numbers of employees reporting similar issues/concerns. Nothing happens to the managers. Its the same management team for past 10 years so they just protect the good ole boys club of SCM!! Somebody wake-up and do whats right for once!!
OP here- yes, I experienced the bullying and lies. I have been lied to so bad that some days I didn’t even know where the truth began. It makes you feel crazy. Toxic, toxic, toxic
Yes currently going through the same. Just asked to post out. The stress has been insurmountable no matter how you try to ignore it you can’t. Bullying and lies. Managers manager just as bad. I too will file a formal complaint with the EEOC. What’s going on is so shady.
This happened to me as well. I was threatened by my manager with witnesses. As you describe HR did nothing to resolve the situation and closed the case before they even talked to me or the witnesses. I was made to feel like the problem by leadership and HR. It was an awful time. Manager is still in place and I had to post out to find a new role.
Sometimes avoiding is essential. You have a good life ahead.
I'd never let a job affect me this much. Job is just a job.
