While other corporations fire their employees on Friday affectionately known as Black Friday Wells does it on Wednesday. If you are called to a meeting to embrace change you are getting laid off. Must be from the Wells Fargo Manager speak handbook clearly not from their touted Visions and Values handbook.

What a clusterFxxk this place is. A complete corporate clown show. How anyone respects it is beyond me.
75% of my group was laid off today. There will be a meeting for the remaining 25% on Friday to discuss the new structure but those of us who were “displaced” were notified today. We have 60-days’ notice (taking us to Christmas) and then our severance kicks in. Good luck to everyone!
I have a group meeting tomorrow... supposed to be an open discussion and Q&A. I doubt they will layoff in groups of 15 but it can happen. Definitely a very odd meeting.
Op doesn't work here and fos.
My mortgage department announced that those affected had already been notified today, which is a Tuesday. There will be a meeting tomorrow to discuss the restructuring. Historically though you are right, you usually find out about being laid off on Wednesday mornings.
This is well known. I used to always say “you made it through another Wells Fargo Wednesday”.
So it’s tomorrow now? LOL.
Is it happening tomorrow?
I thought people got laid off today.
any idea of Technology and Support will be affected as well? Seems like lots of people received the call
Any idea if the Winston Salem NC office will be affected?
When Wachovia did massive layoffs around the time of the WF merger they kindly sent out links to a website around coping with change.
Made all the difference!
