For those of you who have your group laid off, was the call with your manager individually or was it a group call? Was HR present on the call, or just management? Thanks

I wish you guys all the best
Done on a group call with mgr a d 1 HR rep (latter forLehal reasons). We were told at start of call layoffs done in groups not to be insensitive, but not possible individually.
There was no opportunity to ask questions privately with HR and mgr on the phone. Many of us were upset over cattle call.
About 5 of us were all included on the invite and were told it was HIGH Priority - it was actually a Skye video meeting - it ended up being a Harlem shake challenge video.
I got a “private meeting” invite for a Tuesday morning in sept. We knew it was coming. After that, they kind of just ignored you and then periodically wanted info from you on a client. It was like that for 30 days until laptops were sent off last week
i have one of these every month
If your manager sends you a meeting invite don’t accept it 😃
so safe to say that those getting laid off tomorrow, managers already know? Or will they get a list tomorrow morning and be just as shocked as the rest of us who they have to have that conversation with?
no displacement notifications are done in groups. Managers have to have 1-1 conversations with each person, because each person's situation is different. HR is not present, unless there are some specific individual circumstances that warrant an exception. Managers who are doing displacements have training they must complete prior to the discussion.
If an entire unit is being eliminated, that may be a group call, but the actual displacement notification happens 1-1.
