Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Retail Banking

My branch is permanently closing in November. We had a staff of 8. Only one of us was placed at a new location. The rest of us are floating around while also doing closing at our branch. Upper management is keeping us in the blind what the future holds. There are rumblings that I might get an offer 26 miles away (I was 2 miles away at my branch). If I decline this offer, do I forfeit my severance? I heard they can send people up to 40 miles away?

News flash people we are closing branches nationwide. Grocery store branches will be eliminated. The goal is to reduce branch count by 1000-1200.

Agree, I have never worked in a branch but a colleague at HQ who had to interview for a job after a big reorg was told if she didn't apply/interview she'd get no severance.
